With full heart and deepest respect I announce my resignation from the Board of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee. I know it may sound cliché, but it has truly been an honor.
I started attending APAC meetings in 2012. I was elected to the APAC Board in 2019, originally as Vice President. Since that time I have also served as Treasurer and most recently Chairperson. During my tenure I was involved in website redesign, blog writing, public presentations, book keeping, updating our bylaws, organizing meetings, and most recently hosting our first APAC Gives Back performers-only party. I represented APAC in summits with FSC, Pineapple, and other allied entities, working together to improve the way we all do our work. I am very proud of the work we have done together to build a sense of community, increase diversity representation, and share wisdom from every branch and level of experience within the wide range of adult performers.
Activism is not easy, and was never in my skill set. I do the work because I am passionate about you, my fellow performers. I care about your rights and well being and only ever wanted to help give you tools to succeed and thrive in this challenging but rewarding industry.
In the interest of seeing APAC continue to grow and succeed I must acknowledge that it is time for me to step away from leadership and let fresher newer perspectives lead us into the future. To the Board: Please know that I hold you all in the highest regard and will always do my best to support your endeavors. To the community of adult performers: I admire your work and hope you too will get involved. This is our industry together.
In solidarity and appreciation,
